Where It All Began
Before I entered the world of real estate, I was on a clear path to becoming the head surgeon, working in a perinatal research laboratory. Real estate was just a side interest for me back then—something I dabbled in because it fascinated me and the potential for income seemed limitless. But everything changed when I had life-altering conversations with several successful doctors I worked with. They confided in me that, despite their achievements, they wished they were doing what I was doing: investing in real estate.
That realization was the turning point. I made the bold decision to leave UCSD and fully commit to real estate investing. Almost two decades later, I’ve built AJX Capital & AJX Homes into powerhouses in the industry. The biggest lesson I’ve learned along the way is that success in this field depends on two things: who you align yourself with and where you choose to invest your money.
